SAMMA has been the Mauritanian agent of Baco-liner since 1989. Baco-liner operates a regular shipping line between the North European ports (Liverpool, Amsterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp & Rouen) and the West African ports in Mauritania (Nouadhibou & Nouakchott), Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt, Takoradi, Abidjan & San Pedro.     Baco-liner’s freight is transported in vessels known as barge-containers (BACO), with 12 barges of 800 metric ton each barges kept in the vessel holds and 652 containers 20 FT loaded on deck. This type of transport enables the line to provide a highly efficient service to the ports.
